The first time I stepped onto this land God whispered the word, “Restoration.” In that moment I knew He would bring back the pieces that had been sold off over time, that He would heal and restore relationships, and that one day people would walk onto this land and be met by Jesus.

I know God is not confined by a space but I believe He gives us the ability to create spaces to meet with Him. Places free of distractions. Places filled with His beautifully wild creation.

This land was sold off over the years for various reasons- some that left behind heartache and hurt, yet in spite of that God has always had a plan to restore.
His plan is always for good.

The timing of His restoration hasn’t happened how I thought it would. It’s been over ten years since Dave and I began dreaming and trying to pursue ministry. Ten plus years with changes in our vision, in marriage, miscarriages, and lots of doubts. Waiting with questions not answered, but Divine waiting that grew and stretched us. And the opportunity to learn obedience in the moment, in the season He placed us in.

That season wasn’t what I wanted but it was needed. We had to wait just like the Israelites, just like Joseph, just like David, and just like Jesus- we had to wait for God’s time. That waiting was full of grieving dreams, expectations, and wants, facing fears to deepen our faith roots and teach us compassion. We have come to the end of this season more grateful and are so thrilled to share that as of June 2020, we are a federally approved 501c3!!

In addition to this God has allowed us the opportunity to purchase the land and home right next to Thousand Hills Retreat Center, something we’ve been praying about for years. Dave lived in this home as a child! So we are selling our home in Louisville and moving!!

God has begun restoring those things that had been lost. We are so thankful for all of you who have encouraged us, prayed for us, and supported us. Words are not enough! Thank you.

For those who are still waiting may we encourage you to stay the course, to seek Him each day and chose to trust that He works all things for your good.

To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die;

a time to plant , and a time to pluck up what is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal;

A time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh;

A time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to seek, and a time to lose;

A time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to tear, and a time to sew;

A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love , and a time hate;

A time for war, and a time for peace.

What gain has the worker from his toil? I have seen the business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with. He has made EVERYTHING beautiful in it’s time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from beginning to end
